As Raes on Wategos celebrates 30 years of timeless elegance, we’re proud to unveil the next chapter in our story — the official opening of Raes Guesthouses.

Located just steps from our iconic hotel, Raes Guesthouses offers 11 individually designed suites across two buildings, expanding our signature style of understated luxury and warm hospitality. With sweeping views of Wategos Beach or lush gardens, each suite features custom touches such as French linen canopies, hand-painted joinery, and vintage-glazed tiles — all thoughtfully curated by renowned designer Tamsin Johnson to reflect a relaxed Mediterranean charm with Byron soul.

Guests can unwind in two tropical lap pools, relax in communal lounges with open fireplaces, and savour seasonal dishes by executive chef Jason Saxby — from chilled oysters with Australiana dressing to negroni-soaked frozen watermelon by the pool.

With access to the 2-hatted Raes Dining Room, the Cellar Bar, and Raes Spa, along with our complimentary Lexus chauffeur service, every detail is designed for ease, indulgence, and connection.
