Rae's on Watego's is well recognized for it's food. Indeed it's the focus of most guests stay! We take pride in catering to your needs, so please if you have a favorite craving let us know in advance and we'll try our best to ensure its catered for.
Similarly If you have special dietary needs we can tailor a personalized menu for you in advance of your arrival.
The dining options at Rae's are unlimited, whether it be dining in the restaurant overlooking the ocean, a private room service dinner or a casual pool side snack - the choice is yours!
Our 60 seat al fresco dining room overlooking the ocean has a reputation as the best dining in the region! We use the freshest local produce and seafood combined for modern Italian menu.
Beautifully cooked, stylishly presented we spare no expense in sourcing quality produce.
We are happy to discuss your culinary desires in advance of your visit. Our dining facilities are also available for functions, weddings and cocktail parties and any other forms of impromptu entertainment.
The dining room is open for lunch and dinner during the summer months.
Should you wish to not leave your room full room service is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as an all day dining menu.
Picnics and BBQ's
We love to encourage our guests to indulge in taking a picnic to the hinterland, lighthouse or the beach for the day. Or why not have our chefs cook a gourmet seafood BBQ for you on our woodfired BBQ by the pool and garden area.

Our Chef - Brendan Haras
Originally from the Margaret River region in WA, our head chef Brendan Haras is passionate about his food.
Working with chefs Liam Tomlin (Banc) and Tetsuya have been an inspiration for him. Some of the top restaurants he has worked in are Galileo (Observatory Hotel), and Berardos.
Fresh, high quality, organic ingredients from Mr Rae's farm are the corner stone of Brendan's cuisine. With a fresh local produce and a close relationship with local fishermen and farmers Brendan ensures that the restaurant continues to serve the freshest produce in Australia.
In his spare time Brendan can be found surfing the wonderful beaches around Byron.
